Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the evaluation methods and techniques for school educational program. The transition models, the factors and preconditions for a smooth transition, the organization and management of these programs, their evaluation as well as the effectiveness of their evaluation through the bibliographic approach are highlighted. In the first and second chapter we give a general presentation of the term «school transition» and of the existing school transition models. In the third chapter we refer to the factors that affect school transition but also to the conditions that must exist for a smooth transition. In the fourth chapter and fifth chapter we refer to the organization, management and evaluation of school transition curricula. In the sixth chapter reference is made to the effectiveness of the evaluation of school transition educational programs. This dissertation is completed with the research of the topic and its correlation with the existing theory as well as with the presentation of its conclusions and the proposals for further research.
