Abstract The purpose of this study is to examine how students with ADHD can benefit from the supportive teaching they receive at school. Specifically, the assistance provided by a teacher of parallel support to a student of 3rd Grade Elementary School, who does not successfully meet the requirements of the school due to his disorder, is examined. This particular student has been diagnosed with ADHD, while showing both speech difficulties and general learning difficulties. This is therefore a research, which has been based on the standards of a case study. The benefits that are expected to be considered, are related both to the student’s behavior in the classroom, and to his development at the learning level. The improvement of a student with ADHD depends on the careful treatment he will receive from the special educator, but this does not mean that he should be cut off from the group. A key issue of the study, then, is to determine whether the institution of inclusion applies. It is therefore interesting whether this particular student is accepted by his teachers and classmates, within the group. This project concerns both teachers of the class, who have been collaborating for three years for the general development of the student under study.
