Abstract |
The present research focuses on the modern use of the traditional material given from the writer Alki Zei through a designed teaching proposal. The study of the literary process of Alki Zei includes the inquiry of the historical context in which her work is integrated, the segregation in different novel categories and the special characteristics of her writing. The key requirement is certainly the problems that have arisen with regard to the position that the literature seems to have in school program and mainly in the History lesson. To confront these problems it is created the need of inclusion the whole literary book and the complicity of confrontational historical issues in the modern school reality. Meanwhile, the literary theory could help in the handling of such problems and mainly through the study of three basic theoretical figures: the narrative theory, the reception theory and the theory of reader response. The research in those literary theories could contribute in a process of reassessment in reference to Alki Zei’s work. In the limits of this research and for the resolution of the previous requirements a teaching proposal is designed explicitly, which considering the already existing curriculum, proposes the confrontational reading of two whole literary texts, the one of Alki Zei and the other of a European writer Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. The four stages of the teaching proposal includes beyond the reading of the books, the writing of the literary text from the students, its dramatization and the complicity of many and different teaching subjects. The main aim of the research and the teaching proposal is the meaning that gives as now the traditional material through confrontational reading of literary texts so as the confrontational historical issue to be approached fearlessly during the school teaching process and the literature and the whole literary book to be featured in all phases of the school life.
