Abstract

Innovation in a modern school, from its birth or initiation to its sustainability and the evaluation of its results from its practical application is a complex educational path. The present dissertation attempts to investigate the implementation factors and the impact of innovative programs on education through a case study of innovative action. The research data were collected through interviews with students, teachers and parents of students who participated, in order to investigate their views on the action, the factors that have a positive and negative impact on its implementation, the impact it had first on students and then on teachers and the family, the role of the principal and the proposals for the sustainability of the program. The research showed that the action was considered by the participants as innovative and alternative because it promoted new concepts and modern methods of education were applied. The factors that had a positive effect were communication, cooperation, volunteering, initiative and promotional attitude by teachers. the transformative attitude of the principal and the opening of the school on society. Deterrents have been the lack of resources, space and time, legislative framework and taking of responsibility. The action had a positive impact on students, teachers and students' families, adding learning, personal, professional and social benefits.
