Abstract Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is one of the most frequent fields of research interest in developmental disorders,, which is naturally consistent with their incidence in the population. Autism spectrum entails multiple difficulties in various areas of development, with particular emphasis on cognitive and sensory-motor skills, communication and social skills, difficulties in regulating emotion and subsequent behavioral problems. Various intervention programs have been developed to strengthen the skills and restrict the difficulties of children with autism. Most of the times programs that provide multiple supports in all contexts such as family, school and society are more effectively considered. The intervention programs that are mostly studied and proven to be more effective to manage the behavioral problems of children with autism spectrum, are the behavioral ones and especially TEACCH and ABA methods. The combination of this programs focuses on managing the behavioral problems by creating a secure environment for this children. This pilot study aims to study the parameters - difficulties of applying a combined form of intervention with the principles of TEACCH and ABA programs to a primary school student with high functioning autism and associated behavioral and difficulties to organize himself in the environment. A single subject design (AB) was selected and divided into two phases, the initial phase, before the intervention (phase A) and the final phase after the intervention (phase Β). The participant is a student of the 1st Primary School, who has a diagnosis of ASD. In order to create the student’s profile and use the techniques that fit to his own needs, specific techniques of the two programs (TEACCH-ABA) were selected. For this reason Goodman’s Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaires were provided to parents and educators, as well as behavioral forms, based on ABA principles in order to determine behaviors to be studied. The recordings were conducted within the school by two teachers. The effectiveness of this study was based on a comparison of Goodman's questionnaire data and the two-phase recordings, identifying changes in target behaviors. Descriptive-qualitative analysis and visual analysis of the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the combined form of intervention to this particular child.
