Abstract Human rights in obtaining offsprings in the family setting, privacy, and the free development of personality, has decisively been reinforced nowadays thanks to the development of methods of αssisted reproduction. A consequence of the new methods is to create 'different' family structures, which are obligated to receive legal regulation and protection. However even if we face the breeding methods as a health care provision, it is necessary to define the purpose and boundaries of reproductive rights, since science is not authorized to give the right to interested prospective parents to use reproductive material (gametes, egg, womb) as a marketable material. Furthermore the aim of parenthood should be treated with the appropriate moral and practical seriousness, as there is the threat of the finite resources of the health system, the media upbringing and environmental con-sequences of-overpopulation. In conclusion, upon applying the moral vision of Kant, having children using artificial reproduction methods must be based on the free will of individuals while avoiding instrumentalization, because the fundamental right of parenting and reproduction is not unlimited nor is it moral and legitimate to seek in any way, in fact it should always be pursuit in combination with the right-incentives. So the question that arises is to what extent and by what means does every person have the right (moral, legal) to acquire offsprings. The answers given explain the motivations and limitations of parenting.
