Abstract Pre-school age is a major development period for every person who is growing up. Early diagnosis of a disorder and, in particular, timely supportive intervention is a key factor in promoting the mental health of preschool children. The issue of appropriate practices for the successful integration of children with emotional-congestive difficulties into the education system is an essential issue and has been the focal point of this paper. During the school year three students with emotional and behavioral difficulties took part in a short-term emotional support program. The aim of the program was to help students to recognize and express their feelings as well as to manage anger rage. The duration of the program was four months and was designed according to the specifics of children with special educational needs. This paper describes the program stages and activities. In addition, a qualitative approach to the results , is attempted.
