Abstract Neoliberalism is a set of economic policies which has been widely spread in the last 25 years or so and is an expression of capitalism in our time. The basic principle is to limit government intervention in the economy. In the context of neoliberal economic development area of investment are now social goods like health and education. The perceptions of this new power the chief exponent of Milton Friedman, applied to education, focusing on a new form of education is increasingly linked to market needs. From the White Paper on teaching and learning “adopted by the European Commission (1995),” the signing of the Bologna Declaration (1999) to create the “European Area of Higher Education” up and press the summits of Ministers of education followed, neoliberalism seems to settle on specific institutional interventions. The “new school” is the school of the period of crisis and stability program. When there is a need to fund social needs, neoliberal mythology speaks of wasteful state should cease to exist.
