Abstract |
Porphyrins are complexes with a huge resonance in the research industry,
which has been increasing in recent years as they are widely applied. The
reason is that they are free in nature, having a very decisive role in
biological activities because of its unique characteristics and properties.
One of the sectors that pioneered the synthetic interest of porphyrins is
renewable energy. In the present thesis, the theory on which the course of
the following research is based is first analyzed. Hereinafter, the synthetic
approach of the dimeric porphyrin derivatives TPP(In)-NH2-gef-NH2-
TPP(In) and TPP(Sn)-NH2-gef-NH2-TPP(Sn) is of particular importance
in the bridge composition between of the two molecules, as it gives
particular features to the complex being synthesized. At the same time, the
synthesis of the final product namely TPP(Zn)-NH2-gef-NH2-TPP(Zn)
complex is explained. In addition to the synthetic approach of porphyrin
derivatives, the study and characterization methods used during the
experimental procedures for the determination of end products are
analyzed. Visible-ultraviolet (UV-Vis), mass fluorescence (Maldi-TOF)
and magnetic nuclear resonance (NMR) 1H and 13C spectra were obtained
for complete description and identification at each step of the synthesis of
intermediates. Finally, the synthesis and characterization of porphyrin
complexes was achieved with the main aim of using them as a
photosensitizer in dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC).
