Abstract Paul Feyerabend and Thomas Kuhn claim that science has a character that is historical and that science is a human creation. For Kuhn and Feyerabend knowledge can be transformed through the historical circumstances. This view appears close to the theory of Jack Mezirow about “transformative learning”. The present essay lοoks into the transformative character of knowledge in science, society and human education.
