Abstract One of the greatest forbiddances in the medical practice and medical ethics constitutes the forbiddance of killing a patient. The last few years a new affinity accepts physicians to assist in a patient’s death, if only a patient is in a state of terminal illness. When a patient is facing the terminal stage of his illness, the pain that comes with it is significant. Pain as a state puts together a variety of physical factors that can be called objective factors. There are also some subjective factors which are extremely important for the understanding of the pain. Moreover, in most cases pain is immediately connected with a physically/bodily cause. When a person says that he is feeling pain, that admission is taken into consideration as a sentence which is based on a sensory conception. Pain as a feeling is understood in some factors that are connected to our body, but, in the same time those factors appear as subjective phenomena. The subjectivity of the pain is the main factor that complicates an observer to understand the pain of another person (you can’t understand the pain that I’m feeling). If someone tries to explain the meaning of the phrase quality in a person’s life, he should evaluate the quality of the life the patients had before his illness, if he is able to self-service and have the same daily routine as he had before. When a patient comes into a certain point that has to evaluate the quality of his life, he should think about his future, but first evaluate his past, then, he will be able to examine his life as a total, as an entirety. There are so many different methods and choices that can be made by a patient. This is why most of the patients think that there is a pluralistic perception of what is good for them. The patient is asked by their doctor to consider a new treatment or a different approach. At that time, the patient can decide if he wants to continue with the same radical treatment, change into a palliative one, or at last, decide to proceed with a physician-assisted dying. The latter can stand as a potential for those who are legally and mentally capable to make their own decisions. Those patients should fulfill specific conditions and they must have their doctor’s consent. To conclude with, the past few years the medical treatment has change radically, the physician’s assistance in dying is becoming a new reality of our society. The abnormal use of the assisted death may become a tool for a new social policy, and this indisputably will be extremely dangerous. If someone considers a death to be a not always negative event, but a desirable state of our entity, in this case, it is a necessity to have a set of ethical principles that will impose when a death is consider to be an act of redemption, comparison and when must be consider as an act of immorality.
