Abstract In the context of Stoic philosophy, the acquisition of virtue presupposes the education of the soul. To get to the soul, we need first deal with the body. That will lead us to cultivate the soul. This process requires guidance. This guidance is provided by Stoic philosopher. In addition to the theoretical knowledge that he offers, spiritual exercises come to complete the education so that one can live a decent and happy life. To do this, it should first be made clear that everyone chooses different virtues for themselves. Besides, each personality will choose to express them in its own way. But there are boundaries that are set by the common nature shared by all people and characterizing each personality as to its inappropriate or inappropriate behavior. Taking seriously the work of moral improvement, the aesthetic character of the trainee can betray his intentions. For this reason, he should control those elements that can testify his inner intentions and treat them with decency to express the necessary respect for fellow human beings. The way to strengthen the soul is the insistence on self-sufficiency and, therefore, to be free from passions that leave no room for thought. The goal is not the radical eradication of all emotions. Instead, it seeks to eliminate the inappropriate expressions of emotions that oppress the soul. In our fortification, however, human fraternity should be included, the therapeutic effect of which derives from the idea that we are citizens of the world who share the same logic. This means that the devotion to the logical organization of the universe provides appropriate patterns of behavior, and if for some reason we are cut off from this totality, then we will lose the coherence of our logical and moral conduct. An important role in this direction is played by the techniques proposed to ensure respect and cultivation of the philanthropic spirit. What about the feeling of mental pain, fear and anger? How can these be controlled or even limited? As for anger, many people would like to get rid of it, because they simply do not know where to lead them. It is difficult to curb. However, its limitation is practically possible if we follow certain techniques that strengthen our defense and thus contribute to the cultivation of our humanity. On the other hand, fear is also absurd, like the other typical feelings, because they distort our image of the real goods of life. Eliminating this feeling is also imperative because it shapes happy people who feel safe. But that would jeopardize our humanity. That is why in some cases one can justifiably feel fear but at the same time it is possible to control it. For this reason, mental empowerment becomes important, to obtain the urgency it needs in view of the unpredictable and unexpected situations of life. Following the same logic, the mourning must be eliminated. It must be treated self-sufficiency and the mind will be cured by using philosophy. Moderate, however, stoicism does not advise us to remain unmotivated. On the contrary, it shows us the sincere expressions of mourning, which contribute to the relief of the soul, and ways of managing it.
