Title Κατασκευή HARTMANN-SHACK αισθητήρα μετώπου κύματος με δυο μεγεθύνσεις κόρης

Abstract The aim of the present work was the designing and the manufacture of a HARTMANN-SHACK wavefront sensor - analyser with two different magnifications for the eyes pupil. To determinate the optical means that were used it was firstly done a study of the optical system with geometrical optics and an analysis of the results using an appropriate software followed. After that the aberrometer was constructed and used for taking measurements of the aberrations of the optical system and the determination of the parameters of the digital camera that were affecting the measurements. The aberration of the wavefront can be described by a function that approaches the shape of the surface of the aberrated wavefront. The reconstruction of the function is done by the deviance that is reported at the focal points of the aberrated wavefront in accordance to the focal points of an ideal wavefront that has no aberrations. Because of the fact that the focal points appear like diffractive spots it is necessary to determinate the point that has the highest brightness for every spot (central points). The mathematical functions that are usually used for this purpose and indeed have a good performance in approaching with precision the aberrations of the wavefront are the Zernike polynomials. To describe the aberrations with this polynomials it is essential to determine the coefficients of the polynomials. For this purpose we have constructed an algorithm (in MATLAB) and we have used it to analyze the experimental data. Our results were used for reconstruction of the wavefront as well as the calibration of the parameters of the digital camera that was used.
