Abstract

Both scales have been translated and validated into Greek language by the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine. Thirty seven males and females from the prison of Alikarnassos and 21 from Neapolis participated in the study. The majority of the participants were guards , men between 25-35 years old. Also they were non married ,high school educated ,salary 1500 E, under four years in the same work ,don’t work in Saturdays. In Alikarnassos prisons are guards, they work night shifts .They are also satisfied of their work .They don’t smoke ,don’t consume alchohol and drugs. They work under 34 hours and they don’t take permission of work. In Neapolis prisons 52,4% don’t work night shifts, 52,4% work Saturdays. Also they are satisfied of their work, they smoke and drink. In conclusion, high burn-out is related with low sense of coherence and low burn-out Is related with high sense of coherence.
