Abstract |
The present study focuses on the investigation of job satisfaction and job stress of special education teachers. The nature of teachers' work along with various individual organizational factors have been reported as determinants of their job satisfaction and job stress. The pandemic was another aggravating factor of the reduced job satisfaction and especially the increased work stress of teachers. Therefore, during the pandemic, increased levels of occupational stress of teachers was found, which led to a reduced level of job satisfaction, where their physical and mental health was negatively affected. Given the negative effects of work stress and reduced job satisfaction on teachers' performance and effective teaching and learning, their relevant information is deemed particularly important. This can be achieved through the formulation of appropriate educational material delivered through distance education, taking into account the principles of distance education and multimedia learning. On this basis, an educational material was created, which was evaluated by three people, using the questionnaire with open-ended questions in the context of qualitative research. From this research it was found that the educational material has been created based on the principles and methodology of distance education. An exception was presented only at one point, as it was found that the educational material does not include activities that encourage the learner to formulate his own questions on important issues. In addition, it was found that the educational material was created based on the basic principles of multimedia learning, with the exception of the principle of voice and image. Further research in the field of investigating job stress and job satisfaction of special education teachers is necessary. It is also necessary to inform and train teachers, through appropriate educational material, which will be evaluated by the stakeholders themselves.
