Abstract |
Abstract
The thesis examines the role of self-efficacy in the use of Web 2.0 tools in teaching math-
ematics. The work consists of four chapters.
In the first chapter, an introduction is made to the topic of the work and its aims and the
research questions analyzed are given. It also presents the structure of the paper and the
methodology used, including the research design and sample.
The second chapter examines the relationship between Web 2.0 tools and teachers' self-
efficacy. The characteristics of Web 2.0 tools and the concept of self-efficacy are presented. In
addition, the effect of self-efficacy on technological integration and the use of Web 2.0 tools in
teaching mathematics is examined. In addition, the tools of Web 2.0 technology used in teach-
ing mathematics are analyzed and the factors influencing their use by teachers are presented.
In the third chapter, an analysis of the data collected in the survey is carried out. First, the
reliability coefficient for the used questionnaires is calculated. Descriptive statistics are then
presented for the survey variables, such as gender, type of education, years of service, teachers'
knowledge of technology, as well as the use of Web 2.0 tools in teaching mathematics.
In the fourth and last chapter, the conclusions derived from the research are presented.
The answers to the research questions are analyzed and the main findings from the study are
summarized. Specifically, the correlations between mathematics teachers' self-efficacy and the
use of Web 2.0 tools are reported, as well as the effect of educational experience and other vari-
ables. Finally, suggestions for future research are presented in order to deepen the understand-
ing of the relationship between teachers' self-efficacy and the use of Web 2.0 tools in teaching
mathematics.
In summary, the thesis focuses on the study of mathematics teachers' self-efficacy in us-
ing Web 2.0 tools in their teaching. Through data analysis and synthesis of findings, the re-
search offers important insights for understanding the relationship between teachers' self-effi-
cacy and the integration of Web 2.0 tools in mathematics teaching.
